Lord Hankey is a distinguished consultant architect with special expertise in the preservation of World Heritage sites.

He is President of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) UK; a non-profit body with special responsibility to the UK Government for World Heritage sites, bringing together the public and private sectors for the development of best practice for tourism, interpretation and presentation, education and craft skills, research and recording, management, conservation design, engineering, architecture and planning, and contributing to the development of heritage conservation under the UNESCO Heritage Convention of 1972 among the 108 country members. He has carried out work on ancient site for governments and UNESCO is countries including China, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, and the UK.

He is a co-founder of the London architectural practice of Gilmore Hankey Kirk (GHK).

Cliff Bell has been extensively involved with the inward location of industrial and commercial companies in South Africa since 1991. He is an acknowledged expert in the development and successful management Industrial Zones. The client base for this work has come from several continents, with specific sources including : People’s Republic China (including Hong Kong), Taiwan, Singapore, India, United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In-depth country and corporate investigations were conducted in the course of more than thirty business missions to these countries, amongst others, with a view to assessing market and company opportunities.  Cliff Bell led many of these missions in which South Africa’s top private sector companies and government officials took part, including former President Jacob Zuma. This work regularly comprised or resulted in relocating and establishing companies within South Africa. Client organisations assisted in this way have principally been in the sectors or sub-sectors of power generation, wood, paper, minerals, chemicals, plastics, metals, engineering and tourism.

Cliff is also a senior member of Business Location International’s team of consultants.

John is currently chairman of the North Devon Fishermen’s Association, an office reflecting the high esteem in which the local fishing community hold him and his experience. He is a Director of the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisation (NFFO), a member of its Executive Committee and Vice Chairman of their South West Advisory Committee. His entire life has been hands-on in commercial fishing. His qualifications and experience cross the whole spectrum of the industry covers what it takes to be a successful commercial fisherman in charge of modern fishing vessels. He is heavily involved in the discussions aimed at re-structuring the UK’s fishing industry following Brexit.

John was a member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), as a volunteer, for over thirty years and finishing his volunteering Coxswain. This service included every aspect of Health and Safety, boat maintenance and preservation of life at sea.
